Welcome to Week 3 of Term 4 already. This week we start the activities for Year 6 with a retreat day. We also welcome Caleb back. We are looking forward to having you in our class, Caleb.
Kia ora whanau,
We have a student returning to school on Monday who has had cancer. He has been away since 2021.
His immunity has been compromised due to the treatment he has received and he is particularly susceptible to chickenpox and measles. As he will be in our class, please we need to also be aware of stomach bugs and cold and flu symptoms.
Any cases of chickenpox or measles, in the school community, needs to be reported to the school office immediately to ensure his health is not compromised.
He is looking forward to coming back to school as are his friends.
Uniform
Boys - grey shorts

Girls - tunic

I have noticed that there is some wrong uniform slipping through. If for some reason the children need to wear non uniform items they will need a note.

We have a Teachers’ Only Day on Monday 7th November. There will be no school for children on this day. If you require after-school care you can ring Maryanne Roling from Glenholme Afterschool Care. Mary Anne’s contact number is 347 0709 or 0211 215599
What an awesome day on Friday. Thank you for the food you sent along to share with the grandparents. It was great to see so many grandparents. What I really enjoyed was that it was for the whole school and so our class got to show off their work to their grandparents as well. Other schools I have been at only did the grandparents for the junior classes.
We were also lucky to have Andrew Chinn with us for the day. The children loved his teaching and concert. They were both so interactive that most children got to take part in some way.
