Welcome to Room 3!
Hello and welcome.
My name is Mrs Bowen and I am looking forward to meeting you and your child at Meet the Teacher on Thursday 3 or Friday 4 February (If you haven't already - please make a time to come in and say hello). I have been working hard over the past few weeks preparing our classroom so we will be ready to begin a year of fun -filled learning together.
"A little about me".
I am a local to Rotorua, who attended St Michael's Primary School and then MacKillop College.
This is my eleventh year teaching and I am joining St Mary's School from Otonga School where I taught for four years. Before that I taught at Selwyn Primary School. Teaching is my passion and I love being a part of so many lives where I am able to help make a difference.
My husband Clark and I have four wonderful sons (Winston, Dominic, Floyd and Nicolas) who attended St Mary's School (a few years ago now). We have been part of many groups with the activities the boys have been involved with over the years. While they were at St Mary's we were both active members of the PTA and it is very rewarding looking at the hall today and thinking - I was part of the fundraising team that help make that happen. My boys are all looking forward to coming in one day and meeting my class.
My interests are reading, crafts (I am learning to quilt at the moment), travel especially cruising and spending time with my family and friends. As we spend time together, the children will find out more about me and I will learn all about them, what they enjoy, what their interests are and about their family.

"What is happening"
The Blog is the go to place to find out what is happening for the week ahead as I will put up a post each Sunday with the weeks calendar. The best way to access the Blog is through the Website or the School App. I will also add posts during the week relating to the children's learning.

Monday 7 February - No school (Waitangi Day Observed)
Tuesday 8 February - Back to school, gates open 8.25am (How exciting)

How do I book an appointment for the meeting with my child's teacher on either Thursday 3 February or Friday 4 February?
Each child needs to attend with an adult whanau member. If you haven't done so already, please book a 25 minute appointment time for either Thursday 3 February or Friday 4 February. There are a number of ways you can do this:
