Teacher Only Day

Teacher Only Day is June 7th,

There will be no school on this day for the children.  If you require child care you can contact Maryanne Rolling on 0211 215599.

Friday is Pink Shirt Day.  Stand Together and Stop Bullying.

Children are able to wear pink to school instead of their uniform.  If they are not wearing pink, they will need to wear their uniform, as this is not a mufti day.
Gold Coin Donation Please.

Thank you to everyone who supported our raffle. This will be drawn on Friday at our School Assembly.

This week for Golden Time we will be making Fruit Kebabs.  I will bring in apples, bananas and oranges.  Any other fruit we could use would be appreciated.

Our topic for Maths this week is Algebra (Patterns and Relationships).The children are looking at patterns and recognising the rule as the pattern grows.

The students are learning to:

* notice how the pattern is growing (there may be lots of different ways to describe this)

* continue the pattern

* record information about the pattern in a table (maths word for T chart)

* look for a 'rule' or a 'relationship' between the numbers

Algebra is great for encouraging collaboration and conversation.  The learning conversations between the children has been so encouraging.
